Webivio integrates with SMSAPI (a Polish SMS provider). SMS is mainly used for reminders and attendance.
How to connect the account
- Creator -> Integrations.
- Connect a new provider -> SMSAPI.
- Enter your SMSAPI credentials and save.
How to set up scenarios
- Creator -> Notifications -> SMS tab.
- Enable the moments you want and fill in the templates.
- Test on your own number before running a campaign.
SMS costs are billed by SMSAPI, not by Webivio. We don't list rates here.
When SMS is sent
Once a notification is enabled, sending is automatic at the time configured under Creator → Notifications → SMS. Available scenarios include SMS sent with a reminder email or post-webinar email, and five minutes after the webinar starts. No manual trigger is required.
Template variables
The SMS editor supports:
{{name}}— participant name,{{webinarTitle}}— webinar title,{{date}}— date,{{time}}— time,{{joinLink}}— join link.
Paste variable names exactly as shown.
Character and segment limits
The Webivio editor accepts up to 480 characters. A standard single SMS segment usually holds 160 GSM-7 characters or 70 Unicode characters (for example, text with Polish diacritics). Longer messages are split into segments, and SMSAPI may bill each segment separately.
Use the GSM alphabet without Polish diacritics to reduce cost. Check the segment count and price in SMSAPI before a campaign.
Important SMSAPI settings
- Links require link sending to be enabled on the SMSAPI account; otherwise sending may be rejected (for example,
ERROR:94). - The sender name must be added and approved in SMSAPI; otherwise the API may return an error (for example,
ERROR:14). - Check delivery details and international-number support in the SMSAPI panel or documentation.
