Registration and thank-you widgets

A widget lets you collect registrations (or show a thank you) on your own site - without a full Webivio-hosted page.

Registration widget

  1. Creator → Registration.
  2. In Registration method, choose Widget.
  3. Configure the appearance (e.g. bar, button, bubble, embedded form - depending on the options in the panel).
  4. In the Finish step, copy the Registration widget code and paste it into your site.

Widget form texts

In the form template settings you can, among other things:

  • change the submit button text,
  • edit the heading above the fields (default Your details) — leave the field empty to hide it,
  • add helper text above email / phone,
  • edit the data notice under the submit button.

In the template options you can also choose the date format: a dropdown list or tiles. The soonest session gets a Soonest badge.

The Header switch (off) hides the webinar title, not the “Your details” heading. The clean template does not show the personal-fields heading.

The Webivio logo switch (off) hides the “Powered by Webivio” footer at the bottom of the form. The clean template does not show that footer anyway.

Thank-you widget

  1. Creator → Thank You.
  2. Thank-you page display method → Custom page.
  3. Fill in the Thank-you page URL.
  4. Configure Thank-you widget appearance (texts + colors).
  5. Copy the Embed code from Widget for your own thank-you page (or from Finish → Widget code - thank you for registration (custom page)) and paste it on your site.

The thank-you widget can lead into the room once the session starts (countdown, entry button).

Several widgets for the same webinar on one page

You can paste the same code on a page more than once, for example a button at the top and another one at the bottom. Each block renders in its own place.

The default code uses the webinar-widget identifier:

<div id="webinar-widget"></div>
<script src="https://app.webivio.com/api/widget/YOUR_ID/embed?lang=en" data-target-id="webinar-widget" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

If you want full control over placement (or your editor moves code blocks around), give the second block its own identifier - change it in two places: the div's id and data-target-id:

<div id="webinar-widget-2"></div>
<script src="https://app.webivio.com/api/widget/YOUR_ID/embed?lang=en" data-target-id="webinar-widget-2" crossorigin="anonymous"></script>

The lang=en (or lang=pl) query pins the form language — the panel adds it automatically when you copy the code. Without it, a browser with a different Accept-Language may show the other locale's default strings (e.g. Polish “Zapisz się teraz”).

You can also remove the data-target-id attribute and the div entirely - the widget is then inserted exactly where the script sits.

Prefill email and first name

When you already have the participant's details, pass them in either of these ways — email and first name fill in and are hidden; the participant mainly picks a session time.

1. Query on the host page

Add parameters to the URL of the page that hosts the widget:

https://yoursite.com/landing?email=jane%40company.com&name=Jane&utm_source=crm

2. Script attributes

<div id="webinar-widget"></div>
<script
  src="https://app.webivio.com/api/widget/YOUR_ID/embed?lang=en"
  data-target-id="webinar-widget"
  data-email="jane@company.com"
  data-name="Jane"
  crossorigin="anonymous"
></script>

When both query and data-email / data-name are present, the script attributes win. Name aliases in the query: first_name, firstName.

Widget A/B testing

In the Registration step there's a Widget A/B test (variants A/B) - separate from A/B testing of the whole webinar room.

If the widget does not work

  1. Copy the code again from Finish and paste it without changes.
  2. Check that the site domain is included in the widget's allowed domains.
  3. Open the page without cache / in a private window and check whether the CMS removes scripts.
  4. After changing webinar settings, clear the page or widget cache and run another test registration.
