Chat and questions

Chat in an autowebinar consists of messages synced to the recording's timeline (a simulated chat). It boosts engagement - it's not a live chat like in Zoom.

How to set it up

  1. Creator -> Video -> Chat.
  2. Add messages that appear at specific times in the recording.
  3. Optional: import from CSV, chat blocks during selected time ranges, messages from participants, email notifications about new messages.

Questions

An optional questions section - a participant can ask a question; you can route it to a moderator (e.g. via an email notification).

Moderator

You can reply to chat messages as a moderator. For automatic private replies, see AI Moderator.

Messages outside the webinar

You can also see the list of chat messages in the Chat Messages menu.

Transparency and CSV format

Simulated messages are prepared in advance and played according to the recording timeline — they are not posts from other people watching at that moment. Tell your audience, in line with your communication standards and applicable law, that the event is an automated webinar.

The importer accepts a .csv file with at least six columns: hour, minute, second, name, role, message. An optional isOffer column marks an offer message. Minutes and seconds must be between 0 and 59; name and message cannot be empty. The importer code does not define a separate maximum row or message count.
